Running Celebrant Assist on a MacA number of Celebrant Assist users are running quite happily on an Apple Mac. The latest Macs come with a program called Boot Camp which allows you to start your machine as a MAC or as a Windows based PC. The advantage of this method is that you don't need any other software apart from a legitimate copy of Windows, either Vista or WP. The disadvantage is that you can't switch between MAC and Windows without restarting your machine. Alternatively, and for older Macs, you could use a Windows emulator, also known as a virtual machine. The emulator runs as an application under the MAC operating system. The advantage of this method is that you can switch between the MAC and Windows environment withour restarting your machine. These include Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, Virtual PC and others. The disadvantage is that these emulators cost money and you will also need a legitimate copy of Windows. There are also opensource programs, such as Virtual Box, but you still need a legal copy of Windows. There are a number of products that run Windows programs directly on on a Mac, which is less expensive, as you don't need to buy a copy of Windows. These include CrossOver from CodeWeavers and an opensource product called Wine, which does the same.
Opensource products are free,
but are probably for the more technically inclined.

Box and Wine visit http://www.virtualbox.org/ and http://www.winehq.org/
